Studies used to demonstrate this relationship didn’t address the powerful relationship between sugar and grain intake and heart disease which has been shown in more recent studies.

Robert Lustig has been railing for decades against the rapidly increasing sugar intake common throughout developed societies. While  wagging his finger most vigourously at industries which handsomely profit from sugar consumption, he explores the whole range of factors which lead to excess consumption.

Peter Atilla is a Johns Hopkins trained vascular surgeon whose epiphanal experience with a diabetic patient changed his career path leading him to co-found a non profit research institute to explore insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome free of political and industrial influences.
